Life After Graduation

After I graduated from college last year, I got a job offerin Dallas. My parents didn’t want me to take it because I would be so far away from them. I don’t think they understand that I never had any intentions of going back to live with them after college. It’s sweet that they want me to come back to San Antonio and live near them, but I wouldn’t be happy there. I also didn’t get a job offer there, so I wouldn’t have had anything to do. I tried to talk to them about why they were so worried, and they said they were scared of me living in a big city all alone. I tried to reassure them by telling them that I would look into texas home security and get an alarm system. That made them feel better, but they still didn’t let up. I was really nice to them about it, but what I really felt like telling them is that they are lucky I’m not moving further away! Dallas is only a five-hour drive from San Antonio, and they are totally overreacting.
