Helping My Uncle Shop

This morning I spent some time online with my uncle. I have to admit, it was nice spending time with him. We don't get to do that much anymore. He is getting old and doesn't get out as much as he use too. Anyway, he came over this morning to see if I could help him find some discount cigars. I told him I would be glad too. Then he had to leave a little early because his daughter needed his help, so here I sit researching all alone.

Always Happens When Your Out of Town

It never fails to happen when your out of town. You got it. My husband had some more car trouble again while on his business trip. I have told him time and time again to make sure he goes an oil change before leaving on these trips. As it turns out, he actually did this time and still had some trouble. The Acura TL he was driving just broke down on him and he is trying to find a Houston auto repair.

Luckily, we have some relatives that live in that area, otherwise he would be having to rent a car or just take taxis to all his meetings. I told him while the auto repair place has the car, he might as well have a brake job done on it too. It has been needing one for quite some time and I really don't think he should risk driving it back home with the kind of luck he has been having.

My Diet

I'm sitting here working and thinking about what I can eat that would be good for me, but not blow my diet. I have been hungry most of the day and the hardest part for me while on my weight loss diet is not eating snacks. I'm not too bad until it comes night time and I am watching television. I have got to make me a list of what snacks I can have instead of just walking to the kitchen and looking to see what I have in my cabinets. That makes me want to eat everything.

Visiting My Aunt Today

As many of you already know, I have been researching an eczema treatment for my aunt. I didn't realize there was so much to learn about eczema. I was a little bit familiar with it, but until I started actually doing a little research, I have learned so much more. There are tons of options for my aunt and I have decided to print off some of the information so she will have some different options to pursue. I will be visiting with her this evening and we can sit down and discuss them together. It's always nice to be able to help someone that has helped you so many times in your life.

Love Reading Reviews

One of the ways I find out all the info on a product is by reading reviews. I love to know what others think about something and especially if it is a product I am thinking about trying myself. Today, I spent some time reading weight loss supplement reviews. I have been thinking about trying some different kinds, but just wasn't quite sure which kind I want. By reading reviews it is giving me more of an insight about what to try and what not too. If you've never looked at the reviews of any particular product, then you should try it sometime. It works really well when trying to make a decision.

My Husband's Workout Schedule

My husband travels a lot with the company he has, but he tries to work out as often as he can. He wants to get his muscles in shape and possibly lose a couple of pounds before the summer gets here. I was telling him the other day, he should try some muscle builders. I've heard a lot of good reports about them. This evening he was telling me he is going to give them a try. I wish him luck because he works hard to get himself in shape. It just takes the time to get to where you want to be and I want him to realize this.

Always Looking for Great Products

I spend a lot of my time trying to find good products I can use. This past weekend, I had a friend that recommended, what she refers too as the best anti aging eye cream. She has been using it for several months now and says she won't go without it. I'm fixing to give this product a try and I will definitely let you know how it goes. I always love to try something new and even more, I love to let my readers know about it once I've tried it. Stay tuned for more.

Hiring New People

When you have a business and you need to hire new employees, sometimes it can be time consuming. My girl friend has a very successful business, and she needs some new workers. Her only problem is she don't have the time to go through every interview with each person that has applied. I have been thinking about pre-employment screening and how this would benefit her in so many ways. I can't wait for her to stop by the house today so I can talk to her about this. I feel she is going to jump on this and find it to be so helpful.

Planning Some Trips

This week is dedicated to planning some trips for my husband and myself. Well, maybe not the entire week, but some of it is going to be able trip planning. I am thinking Caribbean and dominican republic vacations. We've both been to all types of places in the Caribbean, but neither of us have been to the Dominican Republic. I would love to hear your thoughts if you have been there. What did you do? Where did you stay? I'm so excited to be finally planning these trips and look forward to seeing what I can find for a good deal.

House Cleaning Day

I spent most of the morning cleaning house today. It was long overdue, but it couldn't be helped. It seems everyone has been sick lately and with my daughter being in the hospital, I haven't had the time to do anything. I did get to try out one new thing while cleaning today and that was a Anilox roll. My mother had told me about this and I didn't believe it would do this great of a job. Boy, was I wrong. I thinking cleaning just got a little easier for me.

Just When You Think They Have It All

My daughter and stepson is always asking for something. I keep telling them they have every kind of gadget known to mankind, but they strongly disagree. Just the other day my son was telling me he has been checking out the new ipods you can buy now. I can't believe there is already a new one out since the last one I bought him. The only good thing about it is he has a job now so he can buy his own.

Thank Goodness for Insurance

Yesterday my husband had took our motor home up to the gas station to fill it up. We try to keep it filled up with gas incase we get a sudden urge to just take off for a few days. Well, needless to say he hit a deer. What's the chances of that happening just down the street from our house. I guess I should be thankful we weren't off on some big long trip, but I am more thankful for our rv insurance. It truly pays to have insurance and especially when something happens. That is when you are more thankful for your decisions.

My Cousin Was in a Panic

My cousin, who is moving to California next month, called this morning and was in a panic. She was watching her favorite show on her Direct TV and realized they may not have Directv where she is moving. It wasn't funny, but in a way it was. I figured the did have it in California but she wanted me to check for her.

I decided since she was in such a stressed out mood that I better get right on it and find out so she could calm down. Knowing her, she would be not wanting to move if she couldn't have Direct. I called customer support simply to ask if they had Direct TV in California and luckily they did. I immediately called my cousin back so she would be at ease. I have never seen someone so happy over television and was so excited to be able to make her day. If only life was that simple for everyone, we would live in a much better world.

My New Years Resolution

So, I've been thinking a lot today about my New Years Resolution and I know that one thing on my list is to start getting more exercise. I find myself sitting at my desk working for hours and hours without even getting up at all. I have decided to start researching treadmills and use my Christmas money to buy myself one. I figure I can put it right in my office and be able to get up and use it with any little break I get. By purchasing a treadmill, I feel like I will need to use it or my money would have gone to waste. This is going to work out, I just know it.

Seems Everyone is Sick

Nothing is worse than being sick during the holidays and it seems everyone around me has been sick with the flu. It all started with my daughter and has now spread to both of my parents. During this time, my husband and I was able to try a product to help us with flu care. The product is called Respiratory Guard's lozenger. This is something that is suppose to boost our immune system and prevent us from getting the flu as well as fight off any symptoms we may get if we have the flu. This product is said to have bioactive nutrients in Elderberry which gives a helpful effect in boosting your immune defenses and help with flu care. I can honestly say, as of right now, neither my husband or myself have had any symptoms of this horrible sickness. You can find out more information about this product at Respiratory Guard or http://www.respiratoryguard.com/. I just can't believe it because we have been around all of three of them since day one of their flu. Even though this review was a result from a campaign by Respiratory Guard and I was asked to give my honest opinion about the product I received, I am so thankful that it happened at a time I could give a first hand opinion. Good reviews were not incentivized and poor reviews were not censored for my opinion of the product.

My Jeans Fit

I was so happy when I took out the smallest pair of jeans from my closet this morning and they fit. I was just beside myself. It has been probably an entire year since I could fit into these, and maybe even longer. I owe it all to my slimming pills I have been taking. They have worked wonders. At least I can be thankful for finding them. They are going to save me from having to buy all new larger clothes.

Picking Out a New Faucet

My husband is out of town, but will be home tomorrow. He plans on doing some work in our kitchen this weekend and asked me to get some things he needed. One of the items was to look at Grohe faucets and pick out one I would like for my kitchen. I had no idea when he told me to do this that it would be so hard. I hate making decisions like this and especially without his input. Most of the time we have the same taste, but from time to time we have picked out something totally opposite from what the other would have picked. I am so afraid this is going to be the case this time. I plan on picking it out and emailing him a picture tonight so he will be prepared for what I picked when he gets home tomorrow night.

Picking Out Tiles

I have one bathroom left for picking out the tiles. I know I shouldn't make a bill deal about it, but it is important to me because I know once the tile has been laid then there will be nothing I can do to change it. I plan on keeping it this way for as long as I own the house. My husband does all of our tile work and I know there is no way he would ever redo it unless there was some type of accident where the tile was damaged. That is why it is extremely important for me to pick out something I will be able to live with for a very long time. I know I want to go with something neutral in case I ever want to change the colors in the room, but now I have to decide on either light or dark. Decisions, decisions.

Television is Our Life

It seems like the more and more I think about it, television has consumed us. It is our favorite pass time and honestly we enjoy it more than any video game or board game. It gives both me and my husband a chance to relax and talk about things. I know if it wasn't for our Direct TV, we would be lost.  Some weeks we spend hours watching the Directv and sometimes we only have a few minutes here and there.

My sister-in-law ask my husband what channels he gets with his satellite service package. He explained them all to her and she was highly impressed. I told her they do offer Direct TV in New York and she should think about looking into it. I know that she watches the television almost, if not more than we do. The only problem is she only gets a few stations with her antenna and would love to get more.

I want to go skiing

I have wanted to look into some ski vacations for quite some time now. I just have put it off for so long that I can't imagine us fitting it into our busy schedule this winter. Then this morning my husband was telling me he would have approximately two weeks off in January. This was the first thing I thought of. I know it would be hard for me to take the time off, but it is much harder when it comes to his job. I have got to find a way and make this happen. Even if it means I will have to work overtime from now until then.

Towing

My husband has been investigating rv towing. He wants to be able to use one of our smaller vehicles to tow behind our rv. I'm really excited about that because nothing is worse than traveling somewhere and not having transportation to get around a view the sites. I told him whatever it takes to get this set up I am all for it. Actually, I have been wanting to have this for a long time. It has taken my husband almost two years to realize he wants it too. I guess I should just be thankful he finally saw the light.

My Dieting Progress

Everyone is always asking how my dieting is coming along. I had lost down to the weight I wanted before going on my cruise last month. Then, of course, like anyone who takes a cruise, I gained about six or eight pounds back. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't ten pounds, but that's the beside the point. The weight loss diet I am on is going to knock those pounds right back off. I know it will because it's the same diet I was on before I went on the cruise. Now my only problem is the holidays and all the family dinners. I will probably be on a diet for the rest of my life just going up and down in pounds.

My Dads Business

My dad has had this little side business for quite sometime now and I have to admit, he has actually done fairly well with it. The only problem is when he has to be reachable at all times. This business requires customers to place orders for a product he sales. I am thinking about introducing him to a company which will do order fulfillment. I'm not sure if he will like the idea or not, but it's worth a try. It would free up so much of his time and he would actually get a lot more done.

A Friend Needs My Help

I have a friend who has been going through a hard time. She has lost most of her vision and it is not only taken a toll on her family, but she is having a hard time dealing with it. What can you say to someone in this situation? It's a very difficult thing for me to see her go through such an awful problem as loosing her eye sight. I am going tomorrow with her to help fill out her papers for social security disability. I want to be able to cheer her up in some way, but any ideas would be helpful.

Christmas Times Coming Soon

It seems like only yesterday I was doing my Christmas shopping for last year. Time sure does fly. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Christmas time, well all except I'm not crazy about the cold weather. Other than that, it's my favorite holiday. My family gets together and it's just a special time of the year. I always try to put up a Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. I know some people think it's crazy, but I like to enjoy it more than just a week or two. This being the case, I have almost always put up artificial christmas trees. In my opinion those can look just as nice as any real tree. Once they are decorated, then you can't hardly tell the difference anyway.

A Friend Finally Catches a Break

I am so happy for this friend of mine that has been struggling ever since her nasty divorce. She and the children had to move in the house with her parents and on top of that she lost her job. About a month ago, she got a new job and has been doing much better since this.  Today she was able to purchase a manufactured home. She was like a kid with a new toy when she signed all the paperwork. Now things are beginning to look up for her and it thrills me to see things finally going in her favor.

Could They Get Any Smaller?

I have a small computer, which is called netbooks, if I am not mistaken. Today I was flipping through some sale papers and noticed they are smaller. I looked online and yes, it's true. They are getting even smaller than the one I have. This is going to be a problem. Everytime something new comes out then I think I must have one. So, I suppose my shopping list just grew.

A Girls Vacation

If you've never looked into orlando vacations then you really should. There is so much to do there and it is usually nice weather all year round. I plan on going with some friends in the spring and can't wait. It is going to be a girls vacation. How nice is that? No hubbys to have to contend with and no kids to have to babysit. I'm just kidding, I really love it when I go on vacation with the family. But a girls vacation is really well deserved because it has been a long while since I got to do that.

What Will They Come Out with Next?

I was just amazed when talking to my aunt today about cigarettes. She is a heavy smoker and I have just learned to accept that. She has been smoking for years and has always smoked the same brand. Well today she has something that was just amazing. It was called an e cigarette. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Well I hadn't, but what it actually is, is an electric cigarette. She said this is going to save her tons and tons of money. If you're a smoker, then you have got to check this out. You will be shocked when you see this product.

My Christmas List

Each year at the beginning of November, I start writing out who I have to buy Christmas gifts for and what I am going to buy them if I know at the present time. This year, I have started a little bit early since I already know what I am getting some people. Plus, I don't want to forget what I have an idea of getting, so it's better to write it down. What made me think of this, my uncle stated last night that all he wants for Christmas are some Dutch Masters. I know he was just kidding around because he would actually buy them for himself, but I'm gonna get him some just because he made that statement. We do things like that for each other.
